SULTRY SPRING LOOK
Spring has arrived and it’s time to change up your look. Darker tones are in, plums, mauves and brown toned lip colour’s are back in trend. Below are steps on how to achieve this Sultry Spring look at home!
Prepare the Skin
Firstly I cleansed the face; make up always applies better and more evenly on a clean face. I then applied the freezeframe NIGHT Crème and REVITALEYES eye crème. These products are not only anti-ageing, but a great moisturizing base under makeup to help it glide on to.
Priming the skin is extremely important; using a primer helps to smooth out any imperfections and helps to keep make up on all day. I actually used freezeframe WRINKLE FILLER to all areas on the face, I use this on myself and my clients, and this is a great product as it fills and blurs fine lines along with helping to reduce them over time.
Base
I then started with using a liquid concealor under the eyes and throughout the T-Zone. I then used freezeframe BB BLUR, this beauty balm helps to even out and perfect the skin with natural coverage, you can apply this with either fingers or today I used a foundation brush. Then followed with a light setting powder to finish, I used the freezeframe YOUTH MINERALS in Medium lightly all over the face to give the face warmth. Hourglass Mood Exposure Blush was then used to give the face a pop of subtle colour, this was applied softly on the apples of the cheeks. A small amount of liquid highlighter, Nars hot Sand Illuminator, was then used on the top of the cheek bones for glow and lift to the face.
Eyes and Brows
Firstly I started off by using the Nars Smudge proof eye shadow base, this will act as a base for the eyeshadow.. I then followed with a lighter shade to open the eyes, Stila Kitten Shadow, this was placed all over the eye lid and a small amount was placed on the upper brow for lift. Nars Ondine shadow was used to contour the eye and give definition; this was placed through the socket.
Aubergine Stila smudge stick was used on the upper lash line to give the lashes a fuller look and lionfish Stila Smudge Stick was used along the bottom lash line. freezefame TINT & GROW was used to keep the lashes in place, this not only helps lashes grow and tints but also provides a nice base for mascara (it’s great for brows too), then applied INSTANT LASH XTREME over the top for long thick lashes.
Lips
To add fullness to the lips I used freezeframe LIP INJECTION, this plumps and will give the lips volume.
A lip liner in Mac Subculture Lip Pencil liner was added to the edge of the lip line to give the lips definition, followed by Laura Mercier Dry Rose Lip colour.
